CNC machinists can expect to work with both software and hardware, conduct tests and inspections of products, services and software systems, and repair faulty programs and machinery. You should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina and a keen interest in production and processing.Responsibilities:Set up machines: Read blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines for specific jobsWrite programs: Use computer software to create and test programs for the machines. MasterCam, CamWorks.Operate machines: Use machines like lathes, mills, and grinders to cut, turn, drill, and moreInspect parts: Use precision measuring instruments to verify the dimensions of partsMaintain machines: Perform regular maintenance on the machinesEnsure quality: Check the quality of parts and ensure they meet specificationsFollow safety standards: Follow safety and OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environmentQualifications:Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.Ability to follow written and oral instructions.Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.Ability to interpret engineering drawings.Aerospace Experience.Ability to make precision parts.
