Senior Instrumentation Flight Test EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Flight Test Engineer located in Oklahoma City, OK.You will have the unique opportunity to work on Boeing Mobility, Surveillance, & Bomber portfolio products. Key responsibilities include test planning, configuration control, test conduct, as well as data collection and analysis to assure product safety, performance, and regulatory certification during flight and ground tests. At Boeing, our engineers use their expertise to create innovative next generation capabilities for a wide variety of amazing aerospace platforms and products.Position Responsibilities Include:Designs test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirementsDevelops and maintains data system architectureSupports fabrication, configuration, build, installation, and checkout of data systemOperates data system on aircraft ground tests and flight testsMaintains, troubleshoots, and configure data systems Supports aircraft refurbishment and data system de-modCollaborates across a broad spectrum of individuals and disciplines Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. CitizenshipBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementExperience in flight test, laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, and/or simulationExperience with transducer and sensor physics with the ability to make hardware and system selections appropriate to measure various physical phenomenaExperience with data acquisition system attributes (e.g. range, accuracy, frequency responses, bandwidth) to define characteristics of measurements to be recordedBasic understanding of mechanical design and the ability to decipher engineering drawingsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ yrs experience working with accelerometers, pressure sensors, thermocouples, strain gages, position sensors, and flowmeters5+ yrs experience operating flight test instrumentation data systems5+ yrs experience deciphering mechanical and electrical engineering drawingsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
